~ The Obsession Factory That Feeds On Passion ~
With Paula Elion, Åsa Polfjärd and Charlotta Hayes
3-6 April 2025
Detroit Stockholm at Supermarket Art Fair
The project explores the effects, tools and mechanisms of obsessive passion from three angles – the spiralling passion for art creation through AI, an abstract mapping of the brain – is there physical evidence when passion turns into obsession; and an investigation of the transition into obsession through the tracing of discarded souvenirs.

'Container of longing' is a story-based installation on the theme of obsessive passion, centered around the contents of a box that the artist found at a flea market in Paris.
Paula Elion
'Beyond the Canvas: A Surreal Journey in Shifting Forms' blends paintings with AI videos that take viewers on a wild ride between dreams and nightmares. The Dream Machine transforms the artwork, creating scenes where bodies and spaces shift in unexpected ways. This project is all about obsessive passion - for making art, for creating experiences, and for connecting with what moves you. Watch as familiar forms become strange and spaces bend, pulling you into a world that feels both unsettling and captivating.
Åsa Polfjärd
'Healed obsession' is an embroidered non-figurative installation on healed obsession; a passion gone bad, self-destruction turned into an obsessive behavior. The fragile fabric stands tall on the floor embodying the seemingly impossible, from where did it master its strength? Perhaps the same source that once fueled destruction now powers recovery—a passionate healing process born from obsession itself. Scars like tattoos. Traces of the strength of healing.
"Inte nudda streck" (avoid the cracks in the pavement) is a childhood game of fun that, as effortlessly as it once brought joy, can evolve and eventually become an unhealthy obsession. This work examines that precarious transition, where innocent passion transforms into obsession.
