Paula Elion

`

Argentinean-Israeli artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. Paula explores the mediums of painting, drawing, sculpture and installation. Old books, found objects, textiles, cardboard, wood, dried flowers, tin foil and baking paper are recurrent materials she uses in her works. Paula deals with a wide range of topics that connect personal and socio-political aspects. Using images from social media, movies, children stories and from her own family albums, she looks into universal subjects that connect with personal experiences.

She is a recipient of the Ministry of Culture 2019 prize for independent artists, and participated in dozens of exhibitions and biennales in Germany, Mexico, Argentina, Serbia, Sweden, and Israel.
