Frida Starvid

Frida Starvid is an architect and artist living and working in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work in abstract painting and sculpture is concerned with creating an unfiltered experience of architecture, one that speaks directly to our senses. Using light and shadow, mass and void, colour and composition, her work evokes a sense of instant awareness, contemplation and even transcendence. Starvid holds a Master´s Degree in architecture from the Royal Institute of Technology and a post master from the Royal Institute of Art. Through her studies, she has developed a deep understanding of how the human body interacts with built space.

With expressive and powerful motives, Starvid breaks the boundaries between architecture and sculpture, and her work has been exhibited in various venues including Liljevalchs Vårsalong. She is a member of Svenska Konstnärernas Förening (SKF) and Konstnärernas Kollektivverkstad (KKV).
